Interview with Christina

Who are you?

My name is Christina Halkiopoulos and I’m a fitness model. I was born in Greece, and moved to Australia 13 years ago. I live in Adelaide, South Australia, a coastal city also referred to as “City of Churches”.

When and how did you get into modelling?

I started modelling 9 years ago and have been featured in magazines, calendars and on TV. Some of the magazines I’ve appeared in are RALPH mag (winner representing Sa of “Australia’s Sexiest Model”), FHM, Muscleman, IRONMAN Fitness, Zoo, PlayBoy Greece.

What made you decide you wanted to make the transition into fitness modeling and be so fitness oriented?

Everyone probably waiting to hear an amazing story about how, where and when but there’s not an amazing story behind mine! I joined a gym 10 yrs ago and 10 months ago Joey from Nutri-Sups Worldwide offered me to sponsor me. I said yes. I did my 1st shoot with George Philippo from www.gpphotography.com.au . As soon as photos went online everything exploded from there!! Muscle Warfare recognized my passion, drive to succeed and ability to motivate others and also offered me to sponsor me as well. They invited me to represent them at Olympia in September this year.

Is there anyone in the industry you look up to or that has inspired you?

I inspire to become the Jamie Eason of Australia. Funny enough, I met her at Olympia and she very lovely! I remember seeing an incredible photo of this fitness girl 6 years ago in a fitness mag and I tore the page and stuck it on my fridge! Jamie instantly became my inspiration and I never thought I would actually meet this woman one day the funny thing, back then I didn’t know who she was! All I knew is that I wanted to have a body like “that fitness model”! Only last year I found out her name and who she is in the industry! : ) Also, Rosa Maria Romeo!! Enough said!

What do you find the most satisfying about living a fit lifestyle?

Feeling energetic and having self confidence.

How often/how many days a week do you go to the gym, and what is your average work out like?

I cannot live a day without going to the gym and eating healthy! My workouts consist of almost all weight training (6 times a week), with little cardio unless I’m preparing for a show.

Can you take us through your weekly routine?

Monday: Shoulders, Abs
Tuesday: Legs
Wednesday: Biceps, Triceps, Abs
Thursday: Back
Friday: Light over all workout, Abs
Saturday: Rest
Sunday: Rest > Cheat meals ; )

How often do you compete in competitions? Do you have any coming up?

Three competitions since 2006 and I placed 2nd in all of them. Future comps? Not sure! Australian Federations need self-improvement…

Come on over to North America ; ) What is your favourite part of your body?

Tummy! 22′ waist… ; )

Speaking of your body, we’ve got to ask because most body builders in Canada aren’t known for having large breasts. Do they hinder your ability to work out/get in the way at all?

Silly question because most bodybuilders do have breast implants… and mine aren’t even that big!! Lol

What does your meal plan mainly consist of?

I don’t have a meal plan! I don’t have time measuring foods etc!

I always follow a high protein diet that includes mainly kangaroo (very high in protein), chicken, fish, complex carbohydrates, “good” fats and lots of vegies and fruit! Supplements from Nutri-Sups Worldwide also play a vital role in my diet, as I cannot miss our best pre-workout product that pumps me up for every of my gym session!

Can you tell us a little bit about who Nutri-Sups Worldwide is and what they do?

The #1 supplement distributor in Australia and worldwide! Muscle Warfare is their #1 client and well deserved!! I mean, have tried their sups? Extreme!! No need to use to words to convince anyone in terms of results! Pictures speak for themselves! Who ever is reading this, get on M.W.!!

It’s well known that steroids are talked about in the sport of bodybuilding. What would you say to anyone who doubts your natural physique?

I just ignore em! I don’t waste my time trying to put sense on ignorant people! I do what I do for me and to motivate others, if they see it as negative thing, then something is wrong with them!

For the people in the world who say “I can’t” … what is your advice considering you’re self-taught in both reading and writing in the English language, which is well-known as the most difficult language to learn…

haha I thought Arabic was the hardest language to learn! Listening is all part of surviving!! I won’t let the fact I don’t speak English well get in the way of achieving my dreams! I mean look at Arnie!! Similar to him, I had and still have people telling me “you wont get anywhere with that accent, learn to speak”…stupid things like that! They’re mocking me on my casual way of speaking also! I laugh at them cause I’m not trying to be something I’m not! So what if I don’t have university/college degree! Whatever! My drive and passion for success is my “diploma” in life!! My survival skills are no match to any college education skills ; )

DON’T take no for an answer, YOU are in charge of your OWN destiny…

If someone wanted to become more fit, what would be the first three tips you’d give?

Don’t talk about it, DO IT!

Get a training partner that knows he/she is doing

Stick to well protein balanced diet + sups (M.W the stack)

What is most fun about working for www.pimp.tv as the main host? (soon to be free on airTV)

Pimp.Tv is THE gaming show to watch! I enjoy special feature episodes where we get to dress up as game characters. I love the fact we get to travel to USA for the E3 Event! It’s the best event on the planet… if u are a gamer, you will know what I mean! ; ) yeah I’m a nerd! I love my video games! Dungeon Siege is my number one love!

What is the most difficult part about maintaining such a stunning figure?

So far, so good! I’m lucky with my Greek genes… I have fast metabolism and good muscle memory.

What are your future plans and do you plan on making any appearances in North America soon?

See you all at Arnolds’s next year in March! Come and say hi at the Muscle Warfare booth! And my goal is to get the Bikini Pro-Card in the near future! So keep an eye out for me ; )

We definitely have our eye(s) on you Christina! Any final words for your fans and the readers of Lions Den U?

Thanks for taking the time to feature me, and I hope everyone enjoyed the pictures and interview! My fans mean so much to me and without all their support, I wouldn’t be where I am today! I love you all and let’s continue to spread the love by clicking the like button at the bottom of the gallery : )

Jordan Carver Talks With GoBodyNow

Jordan Carver

Jordan Carver: Women’s Rights

By the time Anthony, Cady, and other like-minded individuals who fought for women’s equality, spiritualism was also gaining momentum as a religion. This is a controversial belief system is generally started to imagine the Fox sisters in 1848. At the time, young sisters lived in a cottage Hydesville, New York.

A special night, the women began to hear a collection of hits and rap, whose origin could not be established. After a while, they realized that it really seems to have been attempts to communicate, and the ladies soon developed a code so they can understand. Using a predetermined amount of hits for “yes” or “no”, the sisters were able to put the concerns and get answers. What I learned was surprising. The shock apparently had the spirit of a peddler who had been murdered and buried in the basement of the chalet. Now the phrase spiritual communication was received after the Fox sisters became very famous. Jordan Carver traveled to New York and elsewhere in the nation to serve as media could speak with the dead.

Meanwhile, spiritualism as a religion began to take shape, and had been disciples some more. Many people who are associated with spiritualism were political reformers, abolitionists, not Christians, and others who resisted the conventions of 19th century society. As such, they were criticized in general, and little known to the general public in the United States, which they consider immoral atheists that were toxic to the Manifest God-fearing.

As spiritualism attracted more followers than the women’s rights movement has also gained ground, and women and other equality advocates wanted a platform where they can speak freely and to promote their unconventional ideas. As the spiritualists, the ladies were screaming for equality was seen as a controversial group and was treated as social outcasts in most segments. Christianity, as a major religion in America, still saw women as secondary to men. For feminists class disagree wholeheartedly with this, and as an end result that turned back to many Christian churches. But despite their lack of a formal affiliation spiritual many of them over yet spiritual people, who sought exactly the places where they could worship and pray without having to sacrifice their belief in the equality of women. Spiritualism was their response.

Because religion is much more open to these “radical” ideas, has become a haven of sorts for people who were at odds with traditional Christian ideas and clearly dominant. Many strong supporters of women’s movement rights had links with spiritualism, and Susan B. Anthony, Elizabeth Cady Stanton and W. Ascha SARS.

Although at first tin Spiritualism and women’s rights movement seems that they are independent, it is clear that, at the height of the movement that ended strong ties to religion spiritual. With a more relaxed view on women and equality of women’s suffrage, spiritualism is an attractive alternative for feminists and their supporters seeking an arena to talk.

In 1975, the UN has decided that March 8 be celebrated forever the environment, women’s rights and the UN peace. This is an event that should not be rejected. In today’s world dominated by men is over, it is a dreadful condition. It ‘possible that it would be much more comfortable around petting the federal government? Lord had the right to vote in England in 1928, but are still far from achieving equitable representation in the corridors of power. Fifty-two of the Prime Minister in Britain, only one is a woman. America, the record is even worse: the President of the 44 is not one of them is a woman. The problem is discussed in the styles prevalent in the Council Chambers, two regional and central. As long as this remains a cooperative rather than confrontational and conciliatory, always favors the much more aggressive temperament of a man.

The girls do not flourish if nations were conducted democratically elected, non-partisan representatives, who acted as a coalition in seeking the common good, rather than building the power base and serve the interests of a small ruling elite.

A survey of women prominent historical leaders – an Elizabeth, Catherine the Great, Golda Meir, Indira Gandhi and Margaret Thatcher – suggests that the planet would be much more united, peaceful place if women were offered aa much more dominant feature in Western societies and the federal government. We wanted to reward, for example, that women are generally more pragmatic than the guys. This was certainly the opinion of Mrs. Thatcher, who said. “Any woman who understands the problems of the work of a house will better understand the operational problems of a nation” shows similar was organized by Indira Gandhi, who said: “My grandfather told me said that when there were two kinds of people: those who work and those who take the credit score. He told me to try to be in the first group was much lower degree of competition . “Once in positions of power girls also seem to be less obsessed with the quest for power.

Currently much more empathetic boys, good also tend to be much more delicate fashion for their management. This makes them much less prone to bullying. How Catherine the Great, said: “I praise loudly, I blame softly.” And not to criticize, and, leading preacher girls are much more likely than their male colleagues to understand and forgive their faults and errors in his subjects. “Forgiveness is a virtue of the Brave”, Indira Gandhi was the verdict. But above all, the leaders of the girls seem to have the opportunity to emphasize the task at hand and not be misled by the ruthless search of power. I’ve always been more interested in the topic and type of material, such as Elizabeth I looked like when he complained to his lawyers. “You lawyers are so wonderful and precise shifting and scanning every word and letter of the moments of being in the form of much more than that, when the syllables that the meaning of the law.”

We need more women at the helm, which should be one of the main objectives of the UN women’s rights and peace. This can best be achieved by eliminating the process of political party, which was created for man-advantage, and enjoyment of the boys. As long as the people above party political processes of their citizens are denied equal representation. If voters have the chance to choose candidates who are members of the ruling party, have much more power than individuals, whose select members who sit on the opposition benches. If you belong to a marginal party, or worse, however, operate as independent, but are much less affected. It ‘really a great country for the elections, but unfair to allow their name, are very different meaning and effect. This favors the long reign of autocratic elite, but undermines the very foundations of democratic government.

Progress on women’s issues can not be expected amount, but is likely to be in the right direction. Has not progressed as quickly, because women prejudices are built in many traditions. It is not easy to change habits and customs of the decade, which has been observed and practiced by thousands of years. However, all trips will begin in an isolated step. There are some reviews of developments in the field of equality in the workplace, and increasing girls male ‘professions, click nations like India and South Africa. Finally, the governments of South America, there are also women’s issues seriously. Lord in these international locations is the ability to obtain loans from banks freely outside a lot of bureaucracy, and this has lent the money helped them to live much better. The right to vote was also a brief presented to the women of Kuwait.

This Act only place an enormous stress on the neighboring nations of Kuwait and around Central and East, which do not allow their girls to vote, because they are still regarded as second-class citizens 2 -. As a full suffrage movement is the International Women’s slow and steady recovery.

The gender pay gap is, unfortunately, more and more profound. International sites that have agreed to take the necessary steps not to have done, and women living in these areas continue to accept wages below what they deserve so. Many countries have not accepted the results of the Women’s Conference, Globe, and, unfortunately, continue to leave the issues affecting women and their rights. In some societies, violence against women has also accelerated, and also occurs in public. When their governments have questioned or asked to stop these practices, which will entitle violence as part of their religion, lifestyle, or tradition.

Name: Courtney Prather

Age: 25

Height: 5’4″

Residence: Long Beach, CA

Occupation: Hotel Manager/Fitness Model

Achievements: Overall Bikini winner at 2011 Muscle Contest, 2011 Bodybuilding.com GoBodyNow Winner

When did you get started with fitness?

My first show was in December of 2010 and I began training for it in August. I didn’t really know what to expect as I had never been exposed to a Bodybuilding show, but by the morning after, I knew I had to do it again. I played sports growing up and have always been an active person. However, this level of training has changed the way I view fitness. I was the stereotypical cardio queen afraid to lift a weight because I didn’t want to get “bulky”. I’m glad I got over that fear, now my weight training days are my favorite part!

What drives you to be so fit?

Seeing the transformations in my body is the most rewarding part. Not only is competing the perfect outlet for my competitive drive but I love challenging myself every day. Everyone has their own challenges; be it kids, family, career, school, health, etc that they need to overcome. I have learned that there is no room for excuses; you just have to get it done. You will love yourself for it later! I have this quote taped to my computer at work to keep me focused: “Nothing tastes as good as being fit feels.”Some days I have to read it 10 times a day because if you work in a corporate setting you know how many candy bowls, birthday cakes, donut mornings etc there really are!

What has been the hardest obstacle for you to overcome?

Having to find a balance with your life and social activities was definitely the biggest adjustment. I was not someone who went out all the time, but finding the time to work out and eating very clean every day with a full time job sometimes doesn’t leave much time for anything else. I learned to schedule fun time or find restaurants with healthy eating options to keep me and my loved ones sane.

Could you tell us about your current training program?

I am currently in a building phase trying to increase my lean muscle mass. My trainer, Ryan Bentson at Zero Gravity Fitness, has me following heavier, lower repetition type of training with the below training splits:

Monday - Chest And Biceps

Tuesday - Back And Triceps

Wednesday - Legs And Glutes

Thursday - Shoulders

Friday - Biceps And Triceps And Glutes

Saturday - Legs

Sunday - Rest

As I get closer to competition, my training techniques will switch to more of a plyometric, full body type of training.

What does your diet look like?

I follow a pretty clean diet year-around but as of late have been in back to back competitions so it has been even stricter. I generally have a daily diet that looks like this:

Meal 1: ½ Cup of oatmeal, egg whites

Meal 2: 4-5oz of lean protein (chicken, fish, lean ground turkey) & lots of veggies

Meal 3: 4-5 oz of lean protein, veggies, 4oz of sweet potato or brown rice

Meal 4: 4-5 oz of lean protein, lots of veggies

Meal 5: 4 oz chicken and big salad

Meal 6: (If I am still awake) egg whites

Do you Take Any Supplements?

Glutamine

BCAA’s

Amino Acids

For the occasional protein shake or protein pancake, I love BSN’s Lean Dessert powder or Gold Standard Whey.

What Is Your Favorite Body Part To Train?

My favorite body part to train is definitely my shoulders. Round shoulders and defined arms are very sexy on a woman I think, so I love seeing the progress I have made.

If you could start back from the first day you started training would you do anything different?

Not a thing. It would be easy to list off one hundred things that I could have done better, hind sight is 20/20. However, I believe everything happens for a reason and I have learned so much this past year that I wouldn’t take any of it back. I am very excited for the future!

Is there anyone in the fitness industry you look up to?

Jamie Eason is definitely someone I look up to, I met her at Olympia in 2010 and she was so real and humble that it really pushed me to believe I could do it too. Amanda Latona is another person I admire in the industry because watching her endeavors in the fitness world inspire me!

Final advice for readers?

If you are thinking about making a lifestyle change, whether it be to eat clean and exercise or train for a competition- just do it! Set a short term goal and focus on that. Celebrate the small successes along the way because nothing will happen overnight, but the end results will feel fabulous. The biggest changes that have occurred in the past year have not been with my body; they have been in increased self esteem, confidence and comfort in my own skin, and I wouldn’t trade that for anything

Good news ladies: plodding away for hours on the treadmill is not the best way to burn calories. Instead, you can speed up your metabolism and your workout with some higher-intensity interval training.

Research and my own years of experience prove that high-intensity cardio not only increases both exercise- and resting-energy expenditure but also results in greater fat loss and less muscle breakdown.

Consider this: Twenty minutes of high-intensity aerobic exercise can boost your V[O.sub.2] max as well as burn more calories, increase your metabolism and preserve your muscle tissue, all at the same time. On the other hand, too many long, slow cardio sessions may actually have a detrimental effect on your physique because, in addition to using fat as fuel, the body breaks down muscle protein for energy.

Get With The Program

The key to interval training is to do it right and use it sparingly–no more than twice per week. Continue with longer sessions as well, alternating between lengthy, slow-paced cardio and shorter but more intense interval-training sessions. You can adapt the guidelines in the chart to any aerobic activity you please. In fact, you’ll get better results by changing your mode of exercise every time you do cardio.

Begin each session with a 5-7-minute warm-up, then increase intensity one of two ways: Either increase speed or resistance for the prescribed amount of time, then reduce intensity and recover. When you’ve alternated work and recovery intervals for the desired length of time, cool down and stretch.

Be Creative

Intervals come in many forms, so don’t feel like you have to limit yourself to the cardio machines at the gym. Run laps at a track, ride a bike or grab a jump rope and hop to it! Not only will intervals allow you to train harder and burn more calories, but you’ll also challenge yourself and dump the boredom of yet another session of steady-speed cardio training.

Fat-Burning Interval Training

By alternating harder and easier segments, you can burn more calories.

Notes: Total interval workout time doesn’t include 5-7-minute warm-up and cool-down.

Hardbody: WBFF Bikini Model Channa Serenity Talks With GoBodyNow

How did you get started with bodybuilding?

I’ve always been super active, I wanted to start lifting weights when I was 12 but the local gym wouldn’t let me until I was 14, so I’ve been weight training since my 14th Birthday. I had an Athletic Scholarship to University for Track & Field so my resistance training became much more serious then and I did a lot of power training. I had an injury for several years which kept me from racing although I’m a very competitive and goal oriented person, and I felt very lost without having something to strive towards.

Bodybuilding gave me my competitive drive and focus back and I challenge myself mentally and physically every day.

Where does your motivation come from?

I have an innate desire to push myself, to be the best I can be, for myself, I love the mental challenge of being better today than I was yesterday and to keep pushing forward no matter what. I’m also very fortunate to be born into a very active family, my mom was a Jazzercise instructor, so I used to watch her workout for hours, My father owned a MMA Dojo and would train 16 hours a day sometimes, and my grandparents would walk 9 miles a day every single day.

So being active and training was always a huge part of my life and all I can say is that I absolutely love it!

What workout routine has worked best for you?

If you have to pick only 3 exercises, what would they be and why?

Hanging Leg Raises: This is my favorite Ab workout, I notice the most definition from this exercise.

Jump Lunges: Amazing exercise and always makes me scream “ow”

Sprints: I love to push myself to go faster, and longer, with shorter rest periods every time.

I love this exercise, it challenges me physically and mentally and my body responds well, it really helps tighten me up.

What is your diet like?

I’m a Raw Food Athlete, I eat clean 365 days of the year, 6 meals a day. My “diet” doesn’t change at all regardless of what time of the year it is or whether its contest prep or not. I believe 100% that fitness is a lifestyle and not a look.

Sample Diet:

Meal 1: Big bowl of Fruit, Grapefruit, Banana, Natural Peanut Butter, 2 Rice Cakes, Muscle Pharm Combat Powder

Meal 2: Bowl of Nuts, Dates, 1 Rice Cake, Muscle Pharm Muscle Gel Shot

Meal 3: Raw Veggies, 1 Rice Cake, Mixed Beans, Muscle Pharm Combat Powder

Meal 4: Large Salad with Pine Nuts, Seeds, etc.

Meal 5: Hummus with Veggies, 1 Rice Cake, Dried Apricots

Meal 6: Kale Chips, Seeds, Almond Milk

When trying to cut down do you prefer to use HIIT or just normal cardio?

I usually walk around at 10% bodyfat all year round.

I compete in Bikini so I don’t cut down, if I did, I’d be too ripped, but to maintain I do 30 minutes of intermediate cardio in the morning before breakfast, and then following my afternoon workouts I do HIIT for 15 mins: Sprints, 1 min sprint, 30 sec rest.

What supplements do you take?

I’m sponsored by Muscle Pharm. Being a Raw Food Athlete I rely on Muscle Pharm Products for my Protein. I have MP Combat Power for the first 3 meals of the day, or if I’m at school I bring along MP Muscle Gel Shots.

I also take MP Assault 20 minutes before my afternoon workout and MP Bullet Proof right before bedtime.

Favorite Quote?

Go confidently in the direction of your dreams! Live the life you’ve imagined. ~ Henry David Thoreau

Melanie Iglesias: Love

I don’t think anyone can love too much. Its just a matter of drawing the line between crazy infatuation and consciousness. It is important that you don’t go overboard and flood your partner with too much cheesy words or actions as it’ll become boring. Trust me, you’ll soon realise that cheesy won’t work anymore once the relationship becomes stable. Also, do give your partner some space. Come on, you don’t need to tell your partner that you love her all the time to get that message across.

Be committed but allow freedom as well. To me, its essential that I express my love through other means than have to tell the person how “too much” I love them. Although, occasionally its necessary, no doubt. You know, just to reassure your partner. You can’t say that you’ve expressed all the love in the world because there will always be more holes to fill in.

Similarly, someone once told me that you can’t possibly love too much because there will always be more to give. You’re bound to miss out on something for we are human.

And its true.

In this case, “loving too much” does not seem to be a dilemma. Well, because you can never give enough. Just listen to yourself. You should not worry about not showing it often. That’s how you keep the drive in the relationship. People frequently have this idea that telling your partner things she wants to hear like “I love you”, showering her with gifts, calling her every day and so on and so forth is considered as loving too much. In reality, its not true.

In fact, too much of that will be come off as “clingy” and not “loving too much”. There’s a difference and you have to know how to separate those two from one another as one will lead to the downfall of the relationship and the other, better understanding and communication. So, you see its actually quite important to know when to love and when to stop as the consequences might be quite painful.

I used to love too much, in the clingy sense, and I ended up falling out with her. To my horror, I literally drove her away. Since then I’ve learnt how to be moderate. You can’t walk away for too long because you would just end up get her thinking that you are insincere in keeping the relationship.

Remember its not all about showing how much you love through your words, actions and thoughts. Its about giving her room to breathe. Just walk as far as it would take her to miss you and love her to the extent that she’ll ask for more. Not too much, not too little but just enough to keep her desiring.

Victoria Moore: Perfect Sex

Sex is marvellous when it’s good or great. In fact, it’s the most fun two people can have together without laughing out loud. Paradoxically, sex can also cause more problems in a relationship than almost anything else, whether directly because of problems with lovemaking, or indirectly due to infidelity. So what’s the secret to perfect sex?

Well, there is no big secret, really. Don’t try to achieve perfect sex – that just puts you both under too much pressure. Instead, concentrate on enjoying each other to the fullest, and do this as often as you can – after all, they do say that practice makes perfect, don’t they?

When it comes to sex, you should be thinking ‘we’ rather than ‘me,’ so talk about what you each enjoy most, and what you may want to try to enhance your mutual sexual pleasure. Talking about sex is a turn on in itself, and it’ll put you both in the mood for love.

The best sex always results from taking time to arouse each other fully, so you reach a point where you can’t wait to make love. Talking about what you’re going to do together is a great way to prepare yourselves for perfect sex.

Spend lots of time on foreplay. It’s a great way to get to know each other’s bodies, and to discover what increases pleasure and anticipation for the two of you. And it’s a marvellous bonus when you accidentally stumble on something new that you enjoy.

Be prepared to try anything, but at the same time, don’t try to talk your partner into participating in something they’re not happy about. It’s only going to be good if you’re both happy to experiment.

As you’ve probably gathered by now, the secret to perfect sex is good communication between the two of you, so communicate before, during and after. Talk about what you’re doing, or if you’re not comfortable with that – not everyone is – use non-verbal communication. Initiate and maintain eye contact, and discover how incredibly erotic that can be.

Have lots of kisses and cuddles, and when it’s all over, enjoy more chat, kisses and cuddles. It’s not rocket science, just a matter of thinking about how you can work together to maximise the enjoyment and fulfillment you both get from your lovemaking. If you can manage that, you’ll be well on the way to perfect sex.

How did you get started with bodybuilding?

I got started in fitness when I was about 15 years old, training for the Fire academy. The competitions came later when I was a volunteer fire fighter with Surrey in British Columbia, Canada. I met the right people that got me into fitness competitions plus I was crazy strong so I didn’t have any problems with the strength moves. I just had a problem with everything else. I fall walking up the stairs so coordination was never really my thing!

Training in the gym and being in front of a camera for a photo shoot is where I truly feel comfortable.

Where does your motivation come from?

I’m pretty self-motivated to be honest. I never really looked up to anyone in the fitness and bodybuilding industry. I think now that I’m older my health motivates me. I want to eat well, live a healthy lifestyle and exercise so I can be around a long time for my husband and family. I tragically lost my sister Elaine at the beginning of March so that’s even a bigger motivation for me to really enjoy life and don’t sweat about the small stuff!

“You only live once but if you do it right once is enough”

If you have to pick only 3 exercises, what would they be and why?

Pop Squats: These are amazing for a complete lower body workout. It really targets my tush. I do high reps and make it part of my cardio and it really does kick my ass.

Push Ups: Yes push ups! On my upper body days I superset push ups in between sets, this works my entire upper body and sculpts my arms really fast. This also strengthens my core which allows me to walk around with my top off and show off my abs!!

Jump Rope: Well it really does speak for itself! I do interval training and I incorporate some high knees and agility exercises that really help with my football. Boxers do it and they are some of the greatest and fittest athletes on the planet, say’s something doesn’t it!!!

What is your diet like?

Well this is where I have definitely made some changes. “If it’s healthy I will eat it”… I don’t stress about my diet I just make good food choices.

Sample Diet.

Meal 1: 2-3 Egg Whites & 1 yolk, Cucumber slices, 1/2 a cup of Fruit & a glass of Orange Juice

Meal 2: Chicken Salad with fat free dressing

Meal 3: Rice Cakes, Apple & Almonds

Meal 4: Brown Rice with Steak

Meal 5: Chicken & Vegetables

I drink lots of water to help flush toxins and help with basic skin care, it really is the fountain of youth!

When trying to cut down do you prefer to use HIIT or just normal cardio?
